$9 billion high speed rail bond passes Senate

SIGH-- OH MY!!! Again public policy leaders are attempting to design the future of transportation without much technical knowledge or understanding. This effort is misdirected and again refuses to draw on the intelligence of the private sector. Does anyone remember the fiasco of California's power crisis? Governor Davis secretly resolved this crisis. Or did he? One expects that the design resolution passed on to the California taxpayers to take down the huge debt will make California businesses consider leaving what might be remembered as the Golden State.

Transportation for the future of California needs a whole new outlook. It is definitely not high speed rail. It is high speed ground transportation of a new technology. This needs new leadership. Why not ask Lockheed about the future of Maglev?

".. it will need two-thirds majorities in the Senate and Assembly to get out of the Legislature."
